My last cross stitch picture I did for a friend

My friend loves her cats but she is a softy and will not make them do anything or discipline them. My friend does not want to make her pets be uncomfortable at all.
I love my pets but sometimes then have to be uncomfortable for their own good.
My friend did not take her cat to the vet to be spayed because the cat had to fit in the cat carrier. My friend got so upset to see her cat in the carrier.
6 months later the cat got a uterine infection because he was not spayed nor was she allowed to have kittens.
I picked up the cat and put her in the cat carried and took the cat to the vet for my friend.
Then the cat had to have antibioses first before she could be fixed.
When I saw this cross-stitch picture I had to make it for my friend. I changed the picture some. Her cat is gray and the picture the cat was supposed to be done in all black. At the bottom it I added Bea's check up instead of just check up.
I thought I would share it with you all.
Have you ever seen a picture or made something for a friend because of a circumstance?

Oh that is vey nice, I did a cross stitch on a T/shirt some years ago, it took me forever as it is quite big as you can see in the picture, I wore it once then washed it then all the dye ran si I did all the work for nothing, I guess I lost interest after that....

I love Stanly! I would love to wear the shirt even if the colors faded.
I can understand losing interest after all that.

No I don't remember ever doing anything like that. I am sorry to hear about her cat being sick. I guess sometimes it is hard to do what we know to be right when we love so much. It was very nice of you to make something special for her. That's what friends are for.

You look absolutely darling. It looks like you are eyeing Petie for trouble. I sure hope that I am wrong. You know if you bother your mom's string while she is doing the pictures, it will get all tangled up and she will have to throw it away. So be good and go play with your sister and brother while your mom is working.

That's so cute! I just never do wall stuff since most of the works on my walls are orginal art or hand colored prints already.
I loved to work on teeshirts, I used to do matching sweatshirts for my sister and my neice (not mother/daughter) and sometimes I'd do a matching shirt for me. I also used to do shirts for my mom.

I have never cross stitched on any cloths. When I was in high school I embroidered a shirt for a boyfriend with a picture of his truck on it. It looked just like his turck with a custume paint job.

Aww--that's so sweet and I love that design. I've never done cross-stitch, but I do other crafts. In fact here's the story of how I began. Up until a few years ago, I never, ever did any crafts of any kind. Then one day I was looking through this catalog and it had this beautiful dreamcatcher in it...I wanted it so bad, but my finances were tight. So then a few nights later, I'm looking at the picture of that dreamcatcher again, feeling sorry for myself that I couldn't afford to buy it, when a little voice inside said, "You can do that!" At the time I didn't even know there were actual kits to make them, but designed my own..I do have the gift it seems that if I stare at a photo of something long enough I can figure out how to make something myself..and that I did. My dreamcatchers later inspired me to do other Native American themed crafts and one thing led to another to another...So now I make all kinds of crafts...from dreamcatchers, dreamcatcher necklaces, Native American themed Teddy Bears, beaded jewelry..the works...my most crowning achievement was to do a complete wrap around guord bead stitch around a Native American pipe...when I look at it now I think,,....yikes how did I do that or have the patience?
Oh and as far as the Teddy Bears...that was inspired to me, when a dear friend of my mentioned she loved teddy bears...so got the idea to make one up for her but with a Native American theme to him....it's my bestseller now
Have a picture here of my beaded pipe

I love the pipe what a lot of work you put into it.
Isn't it silly the way we get ideas? I hope you continue to be creative.
