Why girls feel jealousy

I guess it is natural to get jealous, not only for girls but also for guys. Ever since Adam ate that apple, we are able to distinguish our needs, wants, and offcourse qualities and fancises. This led human being to be more better, happier and stronger than others around them. Obviously, after comparing with others, jealously naturally arises, if you got less of it and have urge to get there. Now, for girls being more jealous, this depends in the culture, tradition and demography she is being brought up. Lol ... personally ... its pleasurable to watch someone getting jealous.

well i dont really think only girls feel jealous amongst themselves....boys also feel jealous...whther its reagrding a good body,good face or money... jealousy is a characteristic that makes us go for more....n eventually achieve more...n ithink its healthy to b jealous !! God has made us dis way...not only girls...but also guys...that v feel jealous for anythng v dont hav...its natural....watsay ?

Hi my friend, how are you? Well, I think that not every girl feel that the same way I know that many men jealous from other men. It is a lack of self confidence only not a nature. If it appear most in girls is because the culture that grow girls with the thinking that every women is a competitor from other women. I for myself, never felt jealousy about nothing since I know that what I have is mine and what the other people have isn't mine so why spend energy with this? My worth is by myself only, so who likes me need to like ME only not how I look or what I have. I always thought this way and I'm happy without care about the others. cheers

I think leatagee is right by saying, INSECURITIES, make people feel that way. I mean if a person is insecure he feels jealous either he is a man or a woman, they both feel the same in certain things. Mybe the best thing to do to overcome this feeling is to make our own identity. If you are good at something, develop that area. Whatever talent you have, focus on that area. Make sure you will excell is it. YOu might not be as beautiful as others can be but you have a talent that they don't have. cheers!! Good luck!!

yes, girls jealous more than boys, and also what boys jealous are different from girls. grils care about the look, dress, diamond, handbag and such like that while boys care the fortune, status and so on. however,jealousy is not absolutely bad thing. sometime, jealousy can make you work hard to get what you adore

it is by nature. it is perceived notion that only girls feel jealous. but no, boys also sometime sfeel so. i ahve seen taht myself. even one of my friend used to be jealous if i used to speak with some other team mates.

Well i think its just second nature for some. esspecially for thoes with low selfesteem. somtimes they cannot help but to feel jelous. i mean who wouldnt wanna be pretty and skinny on confident with nice clothes... when you dont have thoes things and you the way others are happy with hoes things. you cant help but to want them lol.

i would like to share in your discussion although i am a guy. i hope it is ok. i learn that jealousy is not a spontaneous feeling that comes out of nothing. it has history. and its history is ugly, a moment that humans do not want to go through again. usually, it is about losing. humans value what we have, but we also compare what we have. consciously or unconsciously, we have an ethnocentric tendency that we are better than the others. this feeling is neither positive nor negative. i think this is the root of jealousy.

i don't think girls are very jealous and i think that is not the right term. for me, the right term for that would be "insecure". i'm a very insecure type of person when it comes on my bf lol and the reason for that is maybe because i see some of the girls that are prettier than me lol

Well, it's not just girls who are jealous of their own specie. Boys have this too. Anyway, girls are jealous about other girls because they are insecure of their own appearance, their achievements, their possessions or their lover. This would mean that the other girls got better of what they have now. Girls or the human nature always want to have more than the others, or be above than others especially to the people that they know. People have the attitude of comparing and if they found out that the others are doing well than them, jealousy arise. Since girls are more sociable, thats why we tend to see that girls are more of a jealous type than boys. Take care =)
