I have a friend that's into photography. What I understand is that the lenses of the camera is what's important and good quality lenses really do cost a small fortune.

oooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh yes i know my neighbor is really into photography and her ans her sister have really nice cameras and lenses
but they said i have to figure this kinda stuf on my own
they r not tooo nice
and i rly dislike there mother lol
but i have looked online and have not found very many nice camers should i get a nikon or sumthink else?

i have to get them from my neighbor though
i took them on her camera

What kind of camera you should get depends on you budget. If you have unlimited budget, then ask what type of photography you are interested in. What type of cameras you are interested in buying is also a consideration.
Prices are vary for different type of cameras.
You need to know that a good camera costs more than an ordinary one. A DLSR is very flexible in the sense that the lenses can be changed and it is fully controlled by the photographer. That is why it is expensive.
No matter how good a camera is, the photographer must also have some photography skills. A good photo comes from an ordinary camera which is handled by a skillful photographer!
