Ever feel like no one is listening to you?

Yesterday, every time I said something the response of someone else indicated they weren't listening to me. I couldn't wait to get home from work. The conversations were like this: Our dog and cat food have no corn, no wheat, no soy in it. Yes, but does it have corn? We're avoiding corn. Our first ingredient is meat. Where is meat on your ingredient list? Maybe I was just in a reverse parallel universe where I was answering questions before they were asked or something. Ever have a day where no one was listening to you? Ever have a weird day like mine?

All the time, both on and off line.. Rude isn't it? Off line I take a clue to what my daughter says when she is asking something and gets no response, after waiting a few seconds, she will say, "or not" and most of the time the people gets the clue that they were not listening to her..

I've heard or not a few times, but not for that reason, usually I'm giving a person a dirty look for insulting me or for thinking they're funny at my expense. Will have to try that, but not at work. Take care and thanks.

I now exactly what you mean, I am not sure I'd say that I feel like in a parallel universe, but I now what you mean! Sometimes it feels like one is asking something and you get the reply of something completely different, and when you ask again they look at you as if you are the one being stupid; Q: Are the meat fresh today? A: Yes the prawns are very lovely, would you like some? Q: But I asked if the meat is fresh! A: Yeah, and as I said it is! What can you say.. But whenever I notice this I always think about this girl at work. Her thoughts and her mouth never matches up. She could start saying something and then finish with saying something else, because her mind had already moved to another subject. Asking her anything is completely out of the question. I think that she cannot have it easy to put her mind around things, so those times when I am subject to conversations like the one above I just think of her, and it doesn't seem so bad anymore!

I guess it's all relative. Everyone else isn't too bad compared to someone who is worse. Thanks and take care
