I am wondering how many of the marriages that last a life time, have had to work through an infidelity, is this something that has happened at least once in most life long marriages?

Ask your mother. You will get the very core answer from their generation who had experienced better than me. She may tell you one deed that had disappeared in our generation: Patience.

I don't think that my marriage would survive infidelity. As far as I know he's always been faithful. My heart tells me that he has been faithful and that I have nothing to worry about. Sometimes faith is all you have to go on. Sometimes that is all you need. And, really, would I want to know the ugly truth and then have to leave him and start over?
