I enjoy my time spent in mylot and love that we are able to post our opinions to someone else's post or start a discussion of our own, but lately- that doesn't seem to be the case.
In the last few weeks I have ran across more new mylot members that do not post thier opinion or even a question to the post. Instead they paraphrase the article or discussion they are posting to.
(For an example, if I were to post as some newbies are to this discussion I would post the following:
She enjoys her time on mylot but doesn't like it when people just post what was already post in different words.)
See what I mean about the above posting- it just states what I have said- no feelings or questions involved in the posters comment.
So my question to my fellow mylotters is this? Do we know if these individuals are actually making money paraphrasing our content? If so- is it equivilent to what we actual posters are making? And, do you think this is fair if so.

this is a great post.
it will ultimately depend on each individual's motivation - earn money foregoing quality post or quality post. people will incline towards one polarity.
on the other hand, mylot has never provide any distinct rule - it indicated that post anything you want.
moreover, some discussion posts are not meant to be and are not specifically designed to gather much thoughts around it. making a little space for personal input.
fair or not, we just can't assess. tough.

I guess you are right- but it still bothers me that I spend time trying to post quality post- while some spend thier their time paraphrasing the post at hand

I've noticed this annoying trend lately as well. I'll be reading the replies to my discussions and wholeheartedly agreeing with the person and then realize that they're just repeating me.
They didn't even bother making up anything new or adding to the discussion. Actually, there are rules against that kind of thing. The offenders probably aren't making any money. So, no worries. MyLot is smart. It's their money. They're not giving it out to people who try to cheat the system.
Now, back to your discussion. Yeah, I hate those kind of free loaders too.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has noticed them- and dispises their actions here on mylot! I for one will not post anything to their comments - and I don't worry about posting to their discussions because ususally they don't even start any!

I think that the people who do this are just on here for the money. I feel that MyLot has bee paying the truly creative members a few more cents per post, in order to discourage this kind o boring content. Sadly some people want the money so badly, that they are willing to be boring and take longer to earn money, (or post more boring crap!!!), and they really don't care.

I agree with you and hope that you are right when you said that you believe that mylot pays its cretive members a few more cents per post.
When I come across a disscussion where there is a "paraphraser", I have noticed that it discourages me from posting. I feel bad because it may be a good discussion and I may have had a very good posting in mind to add..but as soon as I come across the dreaded "paraphraser" I lose interest and move on

Never really thought about it. Guess I can't hate on anyone for making their money but it would be nice if someone would put forth the effort to comment appropriately to my posts. I'd still give em a plus rating (cuz I do eerybody like that) but would respond accordingly I guess. I don't think I've really come across this yet. I see something that interests me I just respond because Im interested in that topic you know. Plus that lil 1 cent they jus got for the paltry response ain't getting em much. Holla back.

yeah I feel you on that- but that little cents adds up and takes aways from cents that could have been given to me for a quality post. When you do come across it- you'll see what I mean. Luckily none of my discussions have been attacked by these people- but I'm sure it's coming soon.

No we do not know but if they are just paraphrasing
'I have an idea mylot can see that and may pay little'if
anything for that. I dont think it would be fair if'they
did pay for that, but I doubt that they do as this is'
included in mylots rules. That much I remember from the
last time I reread them.

Yes I'm praying your right about mylot not paying them much for that type of post. Although I enjoy my time on mylot immensely and wouldn't trade it for the little bit of cents I make a day here- BUT- what's fair is fair- and If i work hard to post quaility posting and discussions- I guess I just expect the same of others :)
