You could try backlinking. This just means having your blog link posted on different websites, blogs, forums, and social networks. Find other blogs about similar topics with lots of traffic, and leave comments with your blog link posted. Also do this to a few blogs with little traffic.

Well, I'm very new at this game and don't even have a blog or website yet. But I have been reading a lot about how to make money on the web, and keep coming across interesting articles about traffic written by authors at associated content. You really have to read up on it as there are many different tricks.
