Is it true pinecone research lowered their survey compensation to $3?

I just signed up at pinecone and someone told me that recently they only paid $3/survey to their panelist. Is it true? Why?

Yeah I signed up with them like a month and a half ago and i've been paid more than five times. They are paying $3 now. When I wrote this on another discussion another person was surprised because they were paid $5 for each survey that they took.
