What's a Side-Kick?

I'm way behind the times when it comes to technology. And, that's especially true when it comes to cellular and texting. Today, I saw a thing called a Side Kick. What the heck is that? I think it's used to send text messages. Is that right? It looks like a mini keyboard. I had no idea people needed such room to send a text message. Anyway, I might be a bit behind on tech stuff, but it looks very practical. Does anyone have a Side-Kick? And, if so, how's it working out for you? Does it make texting easier? Would love to hear what you think about it. Thanks.

I have no clue what a sidekick is. I'm going to read the responses to your questions and maybe I'll find out something.

Don't feel bad, I didn't really know what one was until a month or so ago. Basically they are a combination of several devices. They are a cell phone/internet access device/personal organizer. Plus there are probably a few other things it can do that I don't know about.
