I was wondering what is your opinions of the Goth scene. How do you view Goth's and see their way of being? Some people fear Goth's and see them as a "danger" I tend to disagree course maybe cause I am goth.. I will tell you there are many and not all dress in black and are obvious to the eye.. We just don't like to conform and we see the world for how it really is that is Goth.. Please only serious answers no answers such as oh are you a vampire and they want to kill every one.. I am 20 and have raised my sisters two kids and am getting a teaching degree to work with special needs kids. I also take care of my grandma who had a bad stroke I tell you this because Goth's are normal just don't conform to ways we ugh "should dress" what ever that is.

Well, I for one typically don't judge based on a person's social identity. Goth, punk, emo, etc. - it doesn't bother me. Although it is a strike against them if they let the stereotypes of the group they identify with define them. As for the Goth subculture itself - I find it rather interesting. Can't say it's something I'd care to identify with, but that's only because I don't care much for tagging myself. Heaven knows I went through enough of that in high school. Funny how wearing black, never smiling, and barely speaking a word somehow makes you a goth - or a Satanist - in everyone else's mind. It's hard to find a person who actually knows what "goth" is. Heck, even some self-described goths don't know what it is.

You are very right my friend people see Goth as wearing black not smiling and so forth but it is not like that black just comes with the teritory ;) lol... there are many forms of Goth.. Romantigoth, deathrocker, cybergoth, rivet-heads.. ect.. Goth to me is people who are diffrent and do not conform.. They see the world for how it really is.. Goth's can be anyone they have a day job and then are creature of the night lol jk.. I think the biggest Goth who can relate to any of us would be my good friend Voltaire!!

I like Goth's. I have never been friends with a goth but have seen loads in the street and on the telvision. I have always comformed and have never had the courage to be something different (I'm 44 now), I now have a lot more belief in myself and confidance and would love to look different. I know that you are normal and kind and caring. When I was a girl it was all punk rockers, they got a bad name as well but you did still see in the papers how these punk rockers did god deeds , like helping old people up etc. I believe that you should never judge a book by its cover and if any one of my children wanted to be a goth (they are 19, 10 and two 8 yr olds) I wouldn't stop them. Hope this helps you.
