Cheerleaders for IPL Cricket necessary?

India

IPL cricket is going on very well in India. Overseas players are contracted for huge sums of money to attract masses. And we have seen some absorbing and thrilling cricket too. More over, recruitment of cheerleaders from abroad is an added attraction. In my opinion, this is a good tactic and ploy. I welcome these cheerleaders. How about you - you feel it necessary or luxury or unwanted?

You mean to say in other ODI's also? Already there has started some opposition. Let us wait and see. I don't think it would be introduced in other ODI's.

T20's popularity is going like a wild fire through the masses. So much money is put on IPL to make it successful at every cost. Cheerleading is one such ploy to add entertainment to the viewers but they hardly cheer the players. I think cheerleading is banal idea and cheerleaders should be indian girls instead of foreginers.

To honest is not good to have cheerleaders with very short clogths. It looks not nice as millions of people are watching them all over India. If they can cover their body with cloths and then cheer for the teams i dont think its bad because at least these girls make some money and thats why they have come. Whats your opinion.

I suppose its one way of attracting people to cricket. Now a days all are becoming closely related to each other. Sports, business, glamour everything is being at one place especially with IPL. To be a good cricket fan, I prefer cheerleaders are not necessary in cricket matches. cheers

I think cheer leaders are another attraction of Cricket.I think cricketer are hardly cheered by this cheer leaders. They are more pleased if they get runs or wickets from their team. More over I am totally against of employing forgiener as a cheer leader.Istead of they can recruit Indian folk dancer or classical dancer. For an example If the match held between Punjab and Kolkata. Then they can recruit bhangra dancer and bengali folk dancer as a cheer leader. This will cost effective also and crickter are really cheered by them.
