Unlike fresh flowers, silk plants last so much longer, so there is no need to keep on bringing in a fresh bunch every few days. They save me so much money.
Additionally, they only need ocassional dusting, not daily watering, as live potted plants require. With the fast lifestyle that I keep, I don't have time to keep track the watering of plants. So at least, with silk plants, there is no guilt feelings from forgetting to water the plants.
I think that for me, silk plants are the logical choice for indoor decorations, not only for me but also for my family and friends. It is also my gift of choice, especially during Mother's Day.
Would you give out silk flowers to family and friends?

I would give silk plants and flowers to friends. As a matter of fact, that's what I send my Mother-in-law for holidays because she prefers them for the same reasons that you do. I myself prefer real plants. The reason is that I live on a dirt road and the house is always dusty. I dust all the time! I would hate to have some beautiful flower arrangement looking all dirty all the time.

I am sorry Spoiled but I do think otherwise. While silk plants may be beautiful, as for me there is no substitute to fresh plants. Live potted plants need more caring than silk plants but it is a delight to see how they grow each day to emit oxygen which freshens up the sorrounding. And it is such a big fulfillment to see them producing flowers in due time. The plants need only proper caring and handling and they do thrive even longer than silk plants that fade and get deformed once washed.
Getting fresh flowers every Mother's Day, Valentines Day, or Birthdays always give a feeling of being loved and remembered. Yes, silk flowers may also make a good gift but fresh flowers will always have a much special impact because natural flowers are always the best and smell the sweetest! God bless!
