Does a Grammy mean worth much anymore?

Not just Grammys but any other music award. To me it seems as if an artist's credibility or talent don't matter as much as his/her/their saleability and popularity and that's the basis for award-giving bodies. What do you think?

hi there... honestly i don't know... hmmm.... however, marketability seems to be a powerful driving force in an artist's career... i guess, sometimes, the packaging sometimes for some is more important than talent or gift... could you expound more on this?
