I heard but I do not know if it is true or not, but our government is going to pay for this. When will we realize that we as a nation do not need to be apart of the U.N anymore. We pay over 20% of all the bills of the U.N and they treat us like some kind of trash hemp. The U.N is useless. I would truly like to hear from someone why the USA should stay in the U.N. What makes me even madder is that some will say the U.N need to be stronger, WHAT the *@#$ is that load of @#$*. Sorry for my adult language, I should watch what I say.

..the only thing stronger will accomplish is an imbalance of power, the notorious possibility of a world governing body.. and way too much power in the hands of a few..

Hello Flowerchilde,
Until the U.S. musters the necessary conviction to evict the UN from our shores, and extract our nation from its self-serving mandate, then we are required to let them investigate us.
Though, to be fair, I believe that the UN investigators ought to be required to attend Reverend Jeremiah Wright's church on the south-side of Chicago -- including watching the videos of Wright's sermons available for sale. Then, if the investigators find no harm, no foul with Wright's racism, then their objectivity need be completely discounted, rendering the rest of their investigation as void.
None can argue that the UN has a very specific set of agendas. So, the best we can do, given our membership and subsequent submission to their anti-American/anti-capitalist philosophy and policies is to outsmart them at every turn, disqualify their objectivity, and force them to demonstrate their irrelevancy.
'Course, I would much prefer that we simply give 'em the boot! If the USA walked out, the UN would wither on the vine, just as the "League of Nations" did. Both examples demonstrate that the Human race is not yet ready to play nice in the sandbox. Until there is a legitimate paradigm shift in Human consciousness, rendering us advanced enough to overcome the worst of human characteristics, then we ought to stop pretending -- and wasting a boatload of resources in the process.
Every aid function of the UN could just as easily be accomplished without their interference, and their demands to cut into the funding action. It's high time we acknowledged that any agency that would blindly allow junta/thug/dictator/facist regimes to sit on the Human Rights Commission, or to accept junta coup thugs as a legitimate replacement for true responsible acting governments, is an agency that is either too stupid, or too agenda-driven to be a legitimate global asset. It's time to render the United Nations as simply another failed experiment, and relegate it to the annals of history as a bad memory!

Very true! It's the dictator speckled human rights commission that will be doing this investigation! How's that for irony. Your post was right on!

While there is undoubtedly some racism in America, it comes nowhere near the level that justifies any investigation by the UN or any other international body.
I would say that we are doing far more to combat racism than a lot of other countries in spite of the efforts of professional racists to keep racism alive for personal gain.
As others have said, the UN has far outlived it's usefulness and it is time for the US to give them the Bum's Rush to the nearest exit.
