I absolutely love pasta and it is my favorite food. I love mac & cheese, lasagna, alfredo, ramen noodles, Lo-mein (chinese), and all time favorite spagetti. Any other dishes I haven't mentioned? I try to make different dishes I haven't had yet with pasta in it. So far the best thing I have come up with is chicken parmesian. I would like to try vegetable lasagna. Even if it is frozen in a box. I am trying to layoff the carbs. It is so hard! I only allow myself 10 grams of carbs a day. Or try anyway lol. I am so sick of salad! Maybe if I can resist temptation I will reward myself with vegetable lasagna lol. Let me know of your favorite pasta dish or recipe.

I love pasta too - but my husband isn't so keen so we only have it maybe once a fortnight...he does love my lasagna though! Favs are lasagna, spaghetti bolognaise, Chicken and mushroom carbonara, any stir fry with asian noodles, Singapore noodles (mild though - not too hot)....oh the list could go on, HAHA!

Bolognaise is Bologna. Carbonara is a creamy pasta with garlic, onions and a little egg in the sauce.

Never would have thought of bologna and spagetti. My step-dad takes mac noodles w/out th cheese and puts tomato juice with chunks of fried fish in it or dips the fish in it. Not a fan of seafood though.

Yeah my boyfriend isn't either but I fix it anyway. What is bolognaise? Sounds like bologna. Andd what is carbonara? Needless to say I cheated tonight. I had tuna helper for supper. I am so WEAK.

I am supposed to be on a low carb diet due to a surgery that I had. I have tried low carb pasta and I do not like it. That is my personal opinion though. To me it tastes like cardboard. Maybe if I had it more often, it would 'grow' on me more. Vegetable lasagna does sound wonderful, though. Maybe I will look that up. If I could figure out a way to make low carb Spaghetti Carbonara, I would eat that.

Never heard of spagetti carbonara. But I'm sure I will love it. I honestly couldn't picture a pasta dish that I didn't like. What does it have in it? I might try the locarb kind but I am betting that u r right. It probably does taste like cardboard lol. :-D

My favourite pasta based dish has to be a tuna pasta. It's my number one comfort food! I think I enjoy it so much as it's easy to make, you can ring the changes by using different ingredients each time, it's a good way of using up odds and sods from the fridge, and you can eat it hot or cold. I enjoy almost all pasta dishes though :-) I've never tried low carb pasta.

I'm afraid I've no idea what Tuna Helper is. I guess it's another of the American goodies I don't get access to!

I love tuna helper out of the box. It is so easy to fix and delicious! I add different things to it depending what kind it is. I fix it at least once a week.

Me too, the more sauce the better. And I love lots of shredded cheese in it. I also put parmesian and sometimes feta cheese in it too. :-D

I love pasta. I eat it every day!!! If I had to go on a low carb diet, I just would NOT cut out the pasta. I like to saute some garlic, onions, mushrooms (and maybe about a fourth of a pound of ground meat) in olive oil and mix with any kind of cooked pasta. I usually go with the linguine (fettucini sticks together if I don't stir it a lot) to mix into my homemade recipes. Only occasionally will I buy the boxed/packaged pasta stuff.

Sounds great especially with bow-tie pasta. I buy sometimes the Kraft spagetti box and add my own stuff to it. Like tomatoes, italian sausage, mushrooms, and onions.
