Do women cry more than men do ? IF so Why is it that way...Are they made so ...Would it mean that women who dont cry dont have a heart or any feelings at all. Being a woman myself I get very emotional with things and when specially a loved one hurts me whether i like it or not tears just fill my eyes n start rolling down my cheeks.....how can we control ourselves is there a way....is it good to hold back ur tears or best to shed them out...Someone once told me Don't trust a man who cries and dont trust a woman who says she doesn't....is this true in any ways...Kindly let me know your thoughts........

I think that women cry more than men because we internalize a lot of things that men would just let go in one ear and out the other. Men do cry, I am witness to it. But, they usually cry for a very good reason ... not because they hear a sad song, or see a sad movie. I, personally, would back off from a man who cried a lot. I don't think that this is normal behavior. Could be depression, deception, etc.. I used to cry more than I do now. I try to stay away from things that make me hyper emotional... sad songs, hurtful people, sad movies... unless it would be appropriate for me to be emotional (ie, when I'm alone, or with someone I really comfortable with). I have also learned that things are not always as bad as they seem. I have learned that one can often find something positive in a negative situation. Also, being through things in my life has hardened me a bit so I don't get emotional in situations where I used to. I think that a woman who never cries is a very devout, faithful woman or a woman who is holding a lot of pain inside.

It's definitely a good idea to stay away from hurtful people/situations like the plague. But, I think that it's ok, and healthy, to have a good cry because of a particular song or movie or just because you need to vent. I just try to save these sort of things for when I'm alone or around someone who I am really comfortable with. I wish you many happy days along with moments of healthy emotional release - as needed. And, thanks for the best response!!! :):)

Well, yes. Based from experience. I have seen more women crying then men. Maybe it's the male ego that's holding us back. :) Anybody can be sad, anybody can lonely, but it may also depend on how we deal with. Yeah, trying to suppress it won't help. It would just build up inside waiting to explode at any moment. :D

Yeah. I've experience that lots of times. I'm very emotional but I've cried less. But when I do, it's like a fountain of tears. :D Well, gotta vent it out eventually. Not healthy keepin' it inside.

I like the expression, it sounds very true because I have had men that knew they were in the wrong to fake cry and try to make it up. I myself am very emotional, but I have met some women who I bet never cry. They seem so strong in a way, but cold in another way.

actually for me i think women cries often, they are more emotional in everything...whatever the case is as long as they feel it...and to the saying don't trust a man who cries coz my X bf used to do it and i feel that he doesn't reaally mean it..

Yeah maquisa i agree with you women do cry more than men cause of they being really emotional. Thanks for sharing your view...so the phrase of not trusting a man who cries all the more makes the phrase a right one after reading ur view too .:)

I guess it depends on how much the person is emotional be it a man or a woman. But generally, it is seen that women cry more than men.

crying is the best way to let your feelings out.. its much better than smashing things and hitting someone.. although i hav to say that too much crying may not be good for yourself..i think crying too much can cause blindness. Girls are emotional, thats why we cry, guys are not, they need to show that they are strong. Girls who don't cry doesnt mean they are strong, they might be dying inside, juzt like one of my friends. Guys, its okay if they cry once in a while but if they always cry.. erm.. there is something wrong with them..
