I think John McCain and his family are the embodiment of the concept of public service. According to a recent article on Cindy McCain in the Wall Street Journal, Cindy is not only a very successful businesswoman, but a giving and compassionate individual as well. Cindy McCain is to be given credit for making such good use of the time and money she's been blessed with. It seems apparent that Senator McCain has "married up" this time. As for John McCain himself being "the embodiment of the concept of public service" I must say I'm not quite ready to declare him a saint. I'm surprised nothing is ever said about his infidelities when we all know the media loves to report on such matters when it involves a Democrat. Some people probably really believe the GOP is the party of family values and morals because you rarely hear about their discretions! Here is an excerpt from the article you linked to: "Cindy McCain is Senator McCain's second wife. His infidelities put strain on his first marriage, and he was divorced from Carol McCain, his wife of 15 years, in 1980. (Carol McCain not only waited for five and a half years for her husband to return from Vietnam, but she also endured a horrific automobile accident during that period which broke both her legs and one arm and ruptured her spleen. She nearly lost her left leg, and surgeries left her four inches shorter than she was before her accident. The woman John McCain returned to was far different in appearance from the beautiful former model he'd left behind.)" Annie

I know you can't find people without skeletons in their closets. Those are nearly nonexistent, but I do admire McCain for his service in Viet Nam and Cindy for her philanthropic spirit, and their 19 year old son is serving in Iraq.
