I am so very pleased! I have had a lot of success with my photography lately! I photographed my first wedding this past Saturday! It was the wedding of one of my friends from high school, and I had an absolute blast shooting the event! Also, I had lunch with a very successful local portrait and wedding photographer last week. She saw my website and said she absolutely loves me work! She offered me a job to come work for her as a back-up photographer! She's in the process of opening up a new studio, so it will be awhile before I start working... but I am very much looking forward to it! Also, I recently entered Jones Soda's 10000th Label Contest. 3,889 photos were entered, and my photo was chosen as one of the top 20!!! Because my photo was a finalist in the contest, it will appear on Jones Soda labels all over the nation! You can vote for the winning label at http://www.jonessoda.com/files/10000th-label-contest-vote.php My photo is number 943158 if you want to vote for me! And be sure to look for my photo printed on bottles of Jones Soda!! So I'm very excited that things are going well for me and my photography! What about you guys? Anyone else have any exciting photography news or stories to share? Happy shooting!!!

That is a very lovely picture indeed! As for making money with your photos, there are several ways that you can! Probably one of the best ways to earn money with your photos is by selling stock photos. If you're interested, I have information on my website about where and how to sell stock images: http://www.lindsaydean.com/sellstock.html Another way you can make money with your photography is by selling prints. Websites like Zazzle.com, RedBubble.com and CafePress.com will allow you to upload your images and sell them as framed prints, calendars, cards, mugs, mousepads, etc. Or you can even print out your photos yourself and sell them at local art fairs and such. If you are seriously interested in selling your photos to magazines, galleries, photo agencies, etc. I would highly recommend buying the book "Photographer's Market" They come out with a new, updated version every year. The book has very detailed information on where and how to sell your photos!

Congratulations! That is so wonderful! I am shooting my first wedding tomorrow for one of my high school friends too. I've been trying to get some local photographers to let me come help them with their wedding photography for free and so far no takers which is pretty depressing (they didn't even want to look at my portfolio). Good luck with getting the Jones Soda label!

I've been feeling very unmotivated lately, so I haven't done too much. My sister and I just did a fun little photoshoot in our backyard the other day. I did senior pictures for someone a couple years ago and I might have some of that coming up later in the summer/early fall. I liked doing that. I have my first wedding coming up in July. Honestly I don't think I want to do it (I'm not that confident in my skills, but the brides sister thinks my photography is amazing...and they don't have the money to pay for a 'real' photographer, so I'm doing it to help them out...), and I'm a bit nervous. I'm sure it'll be fine, but it's nerve wracking. I know they don't expect me to have amazingly professional shots, but I'm a perfectionist, so I will be much more critical than they are. Sorry. Rambling.

Congratulations! It's really a good feeling to have achieved something. Continue with it and you will do better. You will be succesfull with it in the future:)I can say my skill in taking pictures is not bad.. I love taking pictures and getting taken. everytime I take a picture for my friend, I'm satisfied with it but when it comes to their turn to take for me, I always get disappointed because its not the way I want it to be. well anyway, I love the camera. I even want to take photography class but just can't afford one. Do you know any free lessons I can go to online? or can you give me some tips?:)

Hmmm... I'm not sure about any free online lessons. You can always browse the internet for photography tutorials though! You may even want to search the internet for a photography critique forum! Posting your photos and getting feedback can be very helpful!

Thank you very much! I greatly appreciate it! This particular contest may be over, but Jones Soda is always accepting photo submissions for their bottles!!! Anyone at anytime can submit as many photos as they'd like to see if they'll be chosen to be printed on the bottles! Visit jonessoda.com and go to "labels" to find out more! Good luck getting your photos published!!!!
