Say you were going across the country for a trip....How would you want to travel? I have flown across the US, and rode in a bus through a few states. I personally want to take a road trip soon. I think that would be so fun. I really like to fly though...You get there so much faster, but the airport can be hectic!

The United States in a huge country and so I understand that Flying is the fastest way to move around it. Airports are busy places and these days there are extra security measures to follow. However when I was there I liked to travel by train. It was lovely to see the scenery out of the window. One train was five hours late and it arrived at midnight. So the train company gave me a free taxi ride that was to a destination half an hour away from the train station. If I was going to travel around my own country I would do a mixture of traveling by train and walking along scenic sections of the coastline. It would be the South West Coast path and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path that I would love to walk along. I would also like to spend some time in Yorkshire seeing Robin Hood Bay, Scarborough and Whitby. It would be interesting to go to the islands in Scotland and see the West Coast of Wales.

Very nice question. I have always wanted to drive my car or motorcycle cross country. You can't just jump off a plane here and there like you can a car. I like flying, but I like driving also. I have driven up and down the east coast and loved it. I have done things that were not mentioned in any travel books and seen things not mentioned on any maps. You also get a great taste of local flavor on overnight stops. I have also been considering a train trip with my twelve year old daughter. Neither of has ever done that and I think that would be nice too. It would be nice to watch the scenery go by.
