What do you think, student can make his own program of education or it's can be done only by the mamagment of the school or by goverment? I know that are a few schools that students can do their program of education why not permit this in the schools? What is youropinion about that?

I know they need math reading and writting and some english and HIstory dont hurt either if they can get the old books that puts it all out there and not just short stories about it.

It really depends on what they are taking. If a student makes his own program up and it's good solid courses that can teach him good things, then I think it's a good idea. But if the student only has courses that are meaningless, then I don't see it as a good idea.

I think it should be like a three way street, with deciding between the student, the parents and the school.. With a big emphasis on the student if they are both able and interested in doing so.. as long as it doesn't become just the easiest route through school.. There's so many things 'they' don't teach children! I think going back to the one room school house, and teaching the 3 R's, with some computer, etc, etc, thrown in too, after all they do go to school at least twice as much as they used to, and maybe a little bit on societal structure, the modern credit system and relationship skills, or 'how to function in today's very multifaceted and fast moving world. I think there's a big disconnect between parents, families and the educational system and not only are some students coming out of the schools unable to read - I couldn't believe it when I heard that! - but some are coming out downright deranged. Yes, I'm serious. And I didn't even mention the increasing premarital activities, experimentation, and diseases. The kids are pawns, part of a political experiment if you will. - Opinion? nah.. I don't have an opinion.. Have a good day, as2006!

I think that everyone should self-educate all of the time, but then why do it in a school? If it is a professional certification the person is seeking, then I think it is advisable to enroll in a professional. Otherwise it is like the old saying "S/he who represents herself as an attorney has a fool for a client."--I think the same thing would apply to a student.

Here after a certain age you can choose a number of options, as long as you still do some core subjects like English and maths and a couple of others, that the government judge are necessary for most professions and to get on in life. I think it's really good to be able to choose as many options as possible because if kids are doing subjects that they like and are generally interested in then their studies are more likely to keep their attention, and they're more likely to work hard and succeed.

Well, I think there would be very few students that would choose courses that were needed over the courses which would be more enjoyable.

on one side,i hope i can make my own program of education which i love i am intersted in. on the other side,i don't know what is the society needed most.the programmer or the musicians.the college can solve that problem. so the conclusion is:just follow our heart.learn what you want to learn.love what you do.
