There are many people who would consider him to be a great leader but there are some who would disagree. Subhash Chandra Bose might have had a better idea than Gandhi and advocated struggle rather than pacifist non-violence. Bose correctly identified struggle as the way of the world and he did not want India to just lie down like a lamb the way that Gandhi wanted.

mr.gandhi's sathyagraha seemed to be a failure even when he was alive..if it had been a sucess Irom Sharmila need not be in a fast for 10 years n more...he can never be compared with the great leaders like g.k.gokale,v.o.c.chidambaram pillai etc....he had busy time working with mr.nehru internal family politics setting things rite for indhra gandhi and feroz 'gandhi'love affair...also his non-violence policy was adopted by many in the world way b4 him...he was nt de inventor of it....

he proved himself as a great leader to the world. so we dont need to talk about his leadership again. but we have to follow his principles.
