Earlier today I received an email showing people dining hanging from a crane. As I scrolled through I was certain that they must have been photoshoped. Upon further investigation I discovered that it was all real! Some incredibly bright gem has designed a table with seats for 22 people and room in the center for 3 chefs to prepare and serve food. All of this can be suspended 50mtrs in the air from a crane. Follow the link to see what I mean http://www.dinnerinthesky.com/dinner.php I think this is a wonderful concept and would be up there in a flash. What about you though...Could you eat that high up in the sky?

hey louhri! I love this dinner in the sky idea. i love heights,so I wouldn't have any problem eating so up high. I do wonder how the chefs would accomplish such a feat - cooking up high. This is just way cool. So amazing, so new I think it would hit right off. I think they would be closed during rainy or windy weathers. lol.. ~

apparently you can purchase weather insurance with it so you can at least get your money back if the weather is not suitable on the day! I love the idea as well, heights are not really an issue for me either. It says that there is nothing they can't cook up there, no open fires but you can take a gas BBQ!

Weather insurance? gas BBQ? LOL Now I'm really intrigue. I think this would be a hit. Not only will this pick the interest of a lot of people but I think everyone would want to be up there to experience having dinner in the sky. ~

Hi there LouRhi, nope there is no way i would ever get up there much less be able to relax enough to eat a meal. I have a fear of heights and get vertigo just standing on a step ladder to trim the Christmas tree. It looks fascinating however for folks that like that kind of thrill :))))

I saw that on Discover Channel, Daily Planet. I love watching that program. I think it would be pretty cool to say you ate at that table, but I get motion sick easily and would not be able to keep my dinner down. My wife and I ate on a revolving restaurant in Niagara Falls Ontario and I had a hard time eating because I could see that we were moving.

I think I would rather eat in the sky than going round. Not that I get motion sickness but it would be hard to concentrate on eating when you are doing circles, even if they are very slow ones!

What a cool idea! It looks really good, and is an interesting concept, but I don't think I'd be comfortable eating that high up. I'm not great with heights, and knowing my luck, I'd be sat beside a window! I can't imagine eating up there, especially as I imagine it would be a bit swaying. That, could end up being very, very messy.

I don't think you have to worry about the window. As long as you are over 150cm you will fit in their specially seatbelted chairs. If you get cold apparently there is an infa red heater!

I think whoever thought this up has waaaaaaay to much time on their hands! LOL You wouldn't catch me up there unless the crane was bolted to a wall!
