do you have a favorite son or daughter? i have two kids. 5 year old boy and 2 year old girl. one time, a friend of mine asked me who's my favorite between the two. i told her i love both equally. she said it can't be, that there's gotta be one of them who i adore more, love more. and this set me thinking for a while. but i still realized i love them both 100% each, not just half and half. i'm just glad i can't choose which onei love more. my children are different from each other, they have different personalities and both are special in their own way. i know some people who have favorites among their children. are you one of them?

Hi There, I think it is normal to love your children differently, but the same nevertheless. My kids are two complete opposites. I feel differently about them as I have a different type of relationship with one than I do the other. That being said however, I love them 100% the same. I could never even contemplate loving one more than the other. cheers,

i agree on how a parent can have a different type of relationship with each child and love them all at the same lever. good going! :)

I humbly appeal to all of you who are reading this answer. DON'T choose favourites among your children. I am not the favourite daughter of my parents, and the pain this has caused in my life, only God knows. They say they have no favourites, but its painfully obvious who the favourites are. Please don't do this to your children.

I have two girls 4 and 2 years, I love them both completley and I certainly dont favour one or the other however theres different things about their characters that I love because they are so different, but I love them exactly the same a friend of mine once put it perfectly she said that she didnt have to share the love when she had her second just simply when he was born she found she suddenly had all this extra love just for him.

well friend i personally think that whether it is a boy or a girl all are gifts of god and there should be therefore no discrimination between the two. Both should be given the same love and affection and of course no partiality done.THIS IS WHAT I FEEL BECAUSE IF SUCH FAVOURITISM DOES OCCUR THEN IT DOES AFFECT THE PSYCHE OF THE CHILDREN.... all the best.... have a nice day......

yes, you are right. it affects the children if you have favorites among them. there could be competition, sibling rivalry and worse, jealousy. thanks for your response.
