When you were a child did you ever play: Red Rover, Freeze Tag, Mother May I?, Simon Says, Hide and Seek. What do these games have in common? You don't need anything special to play them, just kids. What games did you play? Do your children know about any of the above games?

My stepson (5) and my oldest daughter (4) know how to play Red light Green light, Hide and Seek, Mother May I. I grew up loving those games. One game I miss that I know my kids probably wont be able to enjoy is Flashlight tag. We used to play in the street, woods, hide behind cars. We lived in a very very quite neighborhood. Now a days I wouldnt let my kids play that one. I think alot of parents are too caught up in the video games and tv world rather then getting their children outside to play! Good post.

Thanks. I'm glad a lot of those games aren't lost on the next generation. My kids have a similar tag they play in the dark. They call it Ghost in the Graveyard. They don't actually play it in a graveyard, but we have plenty of safe places to play in the tiny community where we live.
