How often do you wash your sheets and blankets?

I like to change my sheets and wash all the linens and blankets as often as possible. Mostly, because I have allegies and get migraines so frequently. I can't afford to let dust mites build up. And, there's always some new allergen being tracked into the house. So, that means a lot of laundry for me. But, I know that everyone is different and does laundry at their own time and for their own reason. How often do you launder your sheets and blankets? Awhile back, I heard that most people wash their blankets and comforters once weekly? Does that sound about right?

At the most I try to wash them every other week because I have athsma and like you really cant let things build up much. Plus after a while it just bothers me that the kids climb all over my bed with there shoes on and I cant always get the dirt off so it ends up i nmy bed and gets itchy so I have to wash everything.

I try to do mine about once a week. I will sometimes slack off and not do them for about 2 weeks. In the summer time when we sweat more in our sleep I try to make sure I get them done more often though.

I always wash my bedding once per month. I used to do it more often but I couldn't afford to replace them so often!
