Can someone answer a question for me, I know you can't breed dapple to dapple dachshunds, my question is can you breed dapple to piebald? I have dapples just want to know about piebalds.

I have 4 dachshunds. Of those two are dapples. One is a double dapple and one is a black and tan dapple. You can breed dapple to dapple, to get the double dapple, however you do risk getting deaf and blind dogs. I personally wouldn't do it either. I think that you cant breed dapple to pie bald either. It has to do with recessive genes.
My dapples are females, so for my male I bought an English creme solid just to be on the safe side. When my dogs are old enough I will breed my single dapple to the creme. I am so looking forward to see what colors I will get.
Hopefully by then I will be able to post pictures in my discussions and replies.
