i type this word in dictionary "loop with a running know" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noose.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noose says it is a loop at the end of a rope in which the knot slides to make the know collapsible! It is used to hang people from trees and such!
