I was just curious to see who is the most commonly read Author in this community, so hows about we all state our favourite Author/s and see how much they overlap.
I read several different genres of fiction, so i'll list my faves from different genres:
Fantasy - Anne Bishop, Carol Berg, Trudy Cavanaugh, Robert Jordan, J. R. R. Tolkien (needless to say i'm sure.)
Science Fiction - Charles de Lint.
Romance - Jennifer Cruise, Ryannon Byrd, Janet Daily

My favorite author is Janette Oke. Her books are Christian based novels set in pioneer times.

I like to read and I have some favorite authors.
My current favorite genre is paranormal romance. I enjoy JR Ward, Christine Feehan, Nina Bangs, Shiloh Walker, Jacqueline Frank and Laurell K. Hamilton. I have a few more but these are the ones the come to mind at the moment.
I also like JK Rowling (because I'm a Harry Potter fan), Robert Ludlum (for espionage/thrillers) and Susan Elizabeth Phillips and Jayne Anne Krentz (contemporary romance).

I read C S Lewish, Amartya Sen, John Stott, Immanuel Kant, Joseph Stiglitz, et al. I hardly read fiction. It's all non-fiction that I read. For fictitious stuff I watch movies.
