tomorrow is my birthday. though i just put down a sweet phone call from my boyfriend who practically owns this account telling me how much he loves me and that how much he wishes that ill be happy this day but somehow i cant. five hour ago i was at the hospital visiting my Aunt in the ICU. she got internal bleeding due to csirosis ( or how would you spell that). but it wasnt really her that touches my heart. it was the 20 year old year also at the ICU that pinch my heart. shes just 20, a graduating nursing student from Brokenshire College who suffered from myoma.. the Doctor never really had an idea where did she got those. shes in her worst situation now but she seems strong. she couldnt even remember the faces around her but she never shut her eyes. i know shes in pain but she never quit smilin. I adored her... does any1` knows the cause of myoma?

hello,
sorry to hear the sad news and i hope your birthday will be a good one despite this.
i dont know the cause of myoma but according to this site:
http://www.fibroid101.com/cause.htm
The cause of uterine fibroid tumors ( myomas ) according to Dr. Lee, a Norwegian, is estrogen dominance. What does this mean? It means that women are getting too much estrogen relative to progesterone.
you can read the whole article of this at this link (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/uterine-fibroids/DS00078)
mayo clinic is well known here in US and i assume worldwide and they do provide a lot of great medical information.
Causes
Uterine fibroids develop from the smooth muscular tissue of the uterus (myometrium). A single cell reproduces repeatedly, eventually creating a pale, firm, rubbery mass distinct from neighboring tissue.
Fibroids range in size from seedlings, undetectable by the human eye, to bulky masses that can distort and enlarge the uterus. They can be single or multiple, in extreme cases expanding the uterus so much that it reaches the rib cage.
Doctors don't know the cause of uterine fibroids, but research and clinical experience point to several factors:
Genetic alterations. Many fibroids contain alterations in genes that code for uterine muscle cells.
Hormones. Estrogen and progesterone, two hormones that stimulate development of the uterine lining in preparation for pregnancy, appear to promote the growth of fibroids. Fibroids contain more estrogen and estrogen receptors than do normal uterine muscle cells.
Other chemicals. Substances that help the body maintain tissues, such as insulin-like growth factor, may affect fibroid growth.
hope that helps you understand it somehow.
i wish your friend the best and hope she get well soon
takecare!

Are you sure it was myoma? Those are uterine fibroids. It would greatly surprise me, if the doctor did not know where they came from.
