I think it is rather interesting to hear someone babble on about the opposite party talking all kinds of crap so I can have a good laugh. But, if there was a red and blue maybe I wouldn't get so many negatives lol

I'm not! But I do make some nice debates even if I do agree with what the person is actually saying I just like to make them made! It's so fun!

I think that would be a good idea. I live in a conservative area, and if I say I am a liberal, they automatically hate me. I don't understand it. I had a few friends who dropped me as soon as they learned I am not a republican. We had been friends for years!

I must have missed that rant on Kennedy, but there were even some right-wing radio talk show hosts that had some really horrible things to say. I'm with you, I also feel sorry for people with so much hate but what gets me is that most of these conservatives are the ones that talk about God and religion constantly, wearing it on their sleeves but their actions are as far from what I learned about God and Jesus as they can get. Now, to your question - I think we need a blue and red myLot but I don't think we'd have many on the "blue" side and I also think the "red" folks would still come to the blue post to "pick on us". Thanks Annie, Yuor right on all accounts, when I made this post I was venting after reading some of the things the haters and bigots were posting. I was new here and couldn't belive some of the stuff I was reading. Almost quit comming here, but now that I've stuck around I'm learning to just stay away form them. You can't even reason with people like that. I'm almost 61yrs. And have been interested in politics for along time. Even the 1960's when Nam was going on with all the protests and so forth was bad, but nothin compared to this era, tha abortion issue started it and thanks to Karl Rove this country is divided like nothing I've ever seen! Thanks ! tdemex

It beats me why Americans seem to get so excited about party politics. Writing as an outsider, I don't see any massive ideological differences between the Republicans and Democrats. It's not like an argument between Liberals and Nazis or something - wouldn't that be exciting?
