There was a hummingbird trapped in my garage

This morning when I went out to open the garage door there was a hummingbird flying around in there. I left to door open for a bit to see if it would fly out on its own, but it kept flying up to the ceiling and it couldn't get out. After spending about 10 minutes with a broom trying to gently show him the way out he manages to find the door. The poor thing. Have you ever had a bird trapped in your house or garage before?

I had a bat in my house one time. I know they are supposed to be good animals because they eat bugs, but they really creep me out. Other than that, no birds in the house or garage.

I don't think I would like a bat in my house either. Good bug hunters or not.

Never a hummingbird, but I have had more than one ding dong brown bird fly into my house, into the living room, and bang around my windows trying to find their way back out. It is always a huge ordeal to get them back out, with kids and dogs freaking out all over the place. Thankfully none have ever actually hurt themselves, but I always worry because they hit those windows so hard!

Normally the birds here fly into the window from the outside. They do hit it pretty hard sometimes.

hi! i knw humming birds r very small and very cute birds-i hv always liked them-but finding them in ur garage is really something out of a blue-but its really gud that u left the door open for it to fly out-and it manage to find its way out!

hi lily bug yes I had one fly into my living room and the poor thing was so panicked and I did like you but it did not help so just waited and soon he did find the door and flew outside. soo he was sipping nectar from a hibiscus bush and seemed no worse for his little fright.lol.

I haven't had one trapped in the house or garage, but my son uses the van as an extra room. He plugs in a power cord and plays games on his tv in there. One day he left the doors open to cool it off and then came inside to talk to me. When he went back out to the van there was a hummingbird trying to figure out how to get out. He came and got me. We opened the front doors and chased it out. It was so cute.
