My husband and I are young parents of three beautiful kids - 5 months, 3 & 4, but we still would love to vacation! We want to spend time w/ our kids - not ship them to Grandma's while we vacation. Any great spots that are family friendly? (Besides Orlando?) Thanks!

Camping? My kids love any place with water that they can swim in or throw rocks into.

Yes, that would be nice. I personally use to camp a lot when I was a kid, and my husband has never been camping. He's a bit of a pretty boy, truthfully. And being that our kids are so young, I guess we never considered that. Did you hear about that 5 year old that was attacked by a cougar or mountain lion in New Mexico just recently? Terrible!

No I did not. Scary! One thing about camping, you do have to keep your kids in sight if they're young. When I was 5 I remember rushing up a path ahead of my parents. I couldn't read well enough to know that the signs were saying watch out for rattlesnakes. boy did I get a lecture!!!

I don't know about family friendly- you could look further into it and see- but I just saw on a news program last night that people should choose the less popular- which is least expensive- for instance- instead of Hawaii- which costs a fortune- choose figi- which is trying to boost it's tourism so they have very attractive prices.

Yes I would agree! Unless it's specifically designed for kids, that is very good advice! Plus, I wouldn't want to go anywhere that is super packed! It's hard enough keeping an eye on three little kids at home! Thanks!
