Sometimes when I listen to a really sad song, it's hard to work. In fact, I feel like laying down and pulling the covers over my head. Maybe some sad songs are depressing.
Then again, when I listen to something more upbeat, I don't always feel energized or happy. Sometimes I just feel annoyed like the music is moving too fast. I like something with a really good beat, like Gwen Stefani. It just keeps on going and going. And, you don't have time to get depressed.
Does music make you feel that way? Do you feel happy or sad when listening to your favorite music?

I agree I like to listen to music that is more upbeat myself. I seem to work faster. Gwen Steani is a great singer. i like a lot of songs that she sings. Today I put on my Chris Daughtry cd. I seemed in a better mood and did more also.

I feel more creative when I'm listening to something depressing. I just write darker. It pushes me to travel past comfort lines and boundaries and into something new. I hate being depressed, but I like what comes out of it. Sometimes it may not seem worth it, but in the end I get a great story out of it.
