I've been calling to place my vote for American Idol for hours now and it's practically impossible to get through even with the three phone lines that they have. You'd think that they would anticipate the number of votes that would come in on the final night and have more phone lines set up so that people could get through. How many times do those of you that vote usually call in and get through?

My daughter has gotten through almost every single times she has called...she gets through more often than not she said. We haven't voted much this season on other nights. They did open up more lines...three for each of them and they also doubled the time you have to call in.

She must have the magic touch, let me tell you! I either get a busy signal or they tell me that the circuits are all tied up. I didn't know that they doubled up the time that you had to call in, I still think that they should open up more lines, though!!

Oh I hate that annoying "all circuits are busy now" message!! I was going to ask if you were calling with a cell phone...because we've had cell phones only in seasons past and had a harder time getting through. (We have to have a land line now and that is what she's using tonight). But, when she voted one other night this season we were at my parents house and she used a cell phone that night and had little problem. That was near the start of the season, though, so there were fewer call going in, I'm sure...although it was only one line per contestant then.
