I have decided that credit cards are evil. I can not help using it. I jump on the internet and just put in my details & "kapow" i have purchased something with out even getting off my seat. Its not like i even have much spare money to spend, buti know i can just pay the minimum each month & get all this stuff delivered to me. How evil. No wonder everyone is so much in debt. I have the worst will power on the planet, even though i know the consequences. As a matter of fact, i am on Ebay right now checking if there is anything i "need" to buy............ I'm doomed.....

I have been there and done that. The only cure was for me to cut up my cards and stay away from the temptations. I spent far too much money I didn't have and am still paying off one of the cards now. Paying the minimum payment will never pay off the debt hun, perhaps you need to get some help from a debt counsellor. I know just how easy it is, believe me, I have been there.

oh i know it will never get paid off with minimum payment. Thats why i have classed them as evil. they make it so easy to keep living this way. If i see a debt counseller they will make me cut them up & that will be sad...... Goodbye Ebay... :( sniffle, sniffle

If you keep using credit cards and just making the minimum payments, eventually they'll creep up to the point where you can't pay. Or a crisis will arise that will tip you over the edge. Recycledgoth is giving good advice. Cut the cards up, send them back and pay your debts off as fast as you can, while you've still got the chance. You'll feel better for it.

I know what you mean about credit cards being irresistable and evil. It's easy to fall into the temptation of spending more than you are actually earning and to buy all sorts of things that you don't need. Seriously, you should cut your credit cards and try and pay for everything you buy in cash. At the most you should swop to a debit card, that way you can sign for things without having to goto an ATM all the time but you only use the money that is in your bank acount. Work out a means of paying back your debts. I once had a bank send me lawyers letters over credit card debts I had accumiliated as a student. They were very nice and agreed to let me pay it off slowly considering at the time I was quite unemployed.
