Do you ever cry at movies?

I'm a sucker for really sad movies. Sometimes I rent tons of sad movies from Netflix and have a crying marathon. Not sure many guys can understand that. It's cathartic. I like the romantic sad movies, like Ghost which interweaves bits of comedy and love with longing and loss. It makes me cry everytime. My other favorite sad movie that I just can't stop watching is Sense and Sensibility. It's more of a romantic movie, but there are so many sad spots that you'll need a tissue to wipe away the tears. Like when one of the sisters got pnemonia and almost died, because she stood in the rain on the hilltop above her former lover's house and recited poetry until she passed out. Or, the fact that four women were tossed out into the cold world penniless by an evil ogre of a stepbrother. The whole thing made me want to cry. But, there were mildly comedic and romantic moments that kept me tuned in. It ends very well. All live happily ever after. Do you have any favorite movies that make you cry? Please share.

George Bush is really crying - I still have no idea how come he is crying as he is not as soft-hearted as the majority of ordinary peace-loving people.
Hello dear beauty queen. I have to say that it is the same with me when I am watching a very moving and touching movie. I do not have to watch a touching movie to make me cry or weep so long as a story is touching enough to make me so. These days when I am watching so many live reports on CCTV and listen to 24-hour news about the 8.0 earthquake that took place on May 12th in Wenchuan, Sichuan, I cry and weep a lot for the sad news about so many deaths and wounded from the earthquake that happened in Sichuan, China...I did cry or weep a lot. Weeping.

I am so happy to hear that you and your family are doing well, Williamjisir . I worried that your family had been caught by the earthquake. But, today I see you here, so I know everything is well for you. Your heart aches, as does mine, for the victoms. As one human being to another, I want to express my deepest sympathies for the victoms and their families. We are after all, merely human beings. We are only seperated by miles. Our differences are not so great. Our pain is the same. But, the distance is more than made up for by the quantity and capactity of our hearts. Be well and thanks for dropping by.

I suppose women cry more than men while watching touching movie because they are more sensitive. I don't know what is wrong with me when fat tears in my eyes, but the other viewers seem all right. I have to pretend something to do and hastily leave that place. you know, I don't dare to watch Tv these days. The live reports on Wenchuan Earthquake almost make my heart broken.

The real good movies with some good story are mostly sad.I like them and I do cry alot,at the end I have this heavy feeling.Movies should be an entertainment so i try to stick to such light entertainment stuff to avoid this crying.

Hi, I am not really someone who cries at movies, but it has been known to happen. It has to be something which strikes close to home with me. I guess I cry about movies which are sad and there is loss or movies which show bravery and sacrifice. One movie I cried in the end at is the Lord of the Rings Return of the King (silly I know). cheers, :)

i suck at crying part of the movies..even if its not sad..i get so touchy and i easily cry because i was touched by the scene..most specially when its a sad one and someone is dying or at the breaking part of a love story..i cry so much..sometimes i get to get depressed also because the movie is just so me..like it felt like it was my own movie and i was the main character on the main role..

Sheesh! Not just movies. TV shows, commercials, pretty much everything makes me cry! LOL! I am an extremely emotional person. Even books can sometimes make me cry! Articles in magazines. You name it! If there is a sappy moment in just about anything, I will cry! Big baby! LOL! I love Titanic. And the movie Dogma, while it is laced with that childish sense of humor that fans of Kevin Smith are addicted to, like myself, the end gets me every time...every single time! And, I am embarrassed by it every single time as I try to hide my face. And, I know there are many more movies that bring me to tears. Really, if there was any sappy moment in any of the movies I have seen in my life, you can bet I welled up! LOL!

I cry when watching movies very often. I can name many movies, but that list would be way to long for this page... I cry when watching movies about animals and even some cartoons. Lately I only watch comedies, because I don't want to cry...

Yeah. I gotta admit there are some movies that made me cry a little. You know those moments when key characters say something like "you can be somebody whatever you're made of" that. :D Sad movies doesn't really make me cry. weird 'no? :D

I also cry on sad movies but I like comedy films and usually avoid movies which have a very sad story and those which will make you cry from the begining to the end.

I don't really cry from movies anymore but I used to, most of the time it's the song playing...the lyrics setting in. Like I used to cry when watching Disney's The Fox & The Hound when the old lady took Todd out to let him go after raising him so long (I always started crying midwa through the song that played at that part) I think the only movie I've cried about where a song wasn't involved was Steel Magnolias

Yep I'm a sucker for tear-jerkers. I still cry when I watch Steel Magnolias, Beaches or Fried Green Tomatoes. I cry at romance movies or serious dramas. Course I cringe during horror movies but they are what makes my blood go nuts. I love those type of movies. Hubby still doesn't get why I scare myself silly or why I watch movies to make myself cry.

I loved Sense and Sensibility. It didn't make me cry though. I thought it was one of Kate Winslet's finest movies. Years ago I would rent movies that would sometimes make me cry. I don't anymore. Mostly because there is so much going on, I don't want to cry. I mean I can see a movie and not know it's sad, and I will cry, but in general I stay away from the sad movies. I think sometimes when life gets hard, movies that are sad truly do affect my moods. Perhaps it is because I'm bipolar.

Hi beautyqueen26, We guys also have that sensitive side, but it's more dificult to find it. Last movie that almost made me drop in tears was The Passion, it was pretty intense for me, I'm catholic maybe that's why I felt it
