For the most part, I like cooking down home southern style or Tex-Mex. Lots of beans and tomatoes and cheese. Well, not so much cheese nowadays. It's unhealthy and full of fat. But, the other part is still good. I like to use lots of flavor and hot spices, too. My home cooked food is never boring. If possible, I want to try recipes from other cultures that have spicy or strong tasting foods. Could you recommend a recipe or style of cooking cooking that you like? Do you often cook or eat foods and dishes from other cultures? Please share any favorite cross cultural recipes that you love. Thanks.

I love trying out recipes from other countries. Though I only just started cooking (got married so I had to learn) I find it exciting when I come across a recipe from magazines. In fact most of the food that I cook come from a recipe. My husband is Indian so I've learned how to make curry. What's funny is that I like to cook Indian food while he likes to cook Filipino food. He says that he likes our food very much.

Oh I do all the time. I love to experiment with food and I love all kinds of foods. My favorite used to be Mexican food and not I really love Italian food. But there are many other cultures' food that I love as well. I have tried to cook both Chinese and Japanese food at home and it is never the same as in the restaurants. Oh well, I always keep trying. My husband is from Argentina and I cook alot of Argentine food as he loves it and it is really delicious food! Thanks!

I like to do this as often as I can. My favorite things to make tend to be recipes from Ireland, though I'm a HUGE jan of the food from Asia. When I cook, is rarely ever the same thing as something I cooked before.

I cook a lot of Japanese food at home. Probably like 2-3 times a week I cook Japanese food or Southwest style foods. I used to cook a lot of Italian, but quit eating pasta a lot as of late. My Fiance loves Indian food but i'm not a huge fan so I only cook it once in a while.

i love japanese food and recently i've tried cooking tempura and some noodles. although it's really hard to look for genuine ingredients here in our place. so im just limited to some instant sauces and what the local supermarket carries.

I live in the UK, but nearly always cook Meditteranean style meals. I like the vegetables used, things like peppers, tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines and red onions. I often make spanish omelettes, meditteranean vegetable pies, vegetable lasagnes, filo pastry parcels with vegetables and gorgonzola. I also love Italian cooking, particularly pizzas. I make my own pizza bases, then top with loads of fresh vegetables and cheeses. I also do things like homemade garlic baguettes, pasta arrabiata and such like.

I think being in the USA a lot of the foods we are accustomed to eating originated from another country as that is what our entire culture is - a melting put from so many different countries and the immigrants bring their tastes and a bit of their own culture over with them and it is passed through the generations. what a richly diverse country this is.

I frequently cook Indian food and try to make my dishes taste as authentic as possible. I have a cupboard always full of Indian spices, and I enjoy experimenting and making up my own dishes. Sometimes I like to cook Italian food, my favourite being pasta dishes. I also love chicken or steak cacciatore. In the past I have attempted cooking Chinese food at home, but have never been able to get an authentic flavour. Though I'm not fond of other types of Mexican food, I cook chilli quite a lot. I think if you want to experiment with spicy foods, you can't go wrong with Indian food. I don't have a specific recipe that I stick to which I could share, but you might like to do what I do....I either experiment, or I surf the internet looking at the Indian food sections of recipe sites and try out lots of those. Happy eating!!!!!!! :-)
