My computer is beeping at me!

Help my computer is making weird beeping noises, as if something has just finished downloading. But I don't see any download boxes at the bottom of my browser. I think it's just a stupid banner ad that replays ever five seconds to get your attention.
What do you think? Do you ever hear noises coming from your computer and realize it's just a banner ad? Are the ads so annoying you shut your speakers off? Or, do you just continuting posting on MyLot? Please share.

I user firefox, I don't even see banner adds most of the time, not to mention them beeping and annoying me.... ;)

That does it! I'm downloading Firefox tonight.
I had Firefox and was perfectly happy before my
other computer crashed and burned.
I hate Internet Explorer! Have I mentioned that before.
