Racism

United States

I just moved to Florida and I am disgusted at all the racism I have heard. All the differant races for the most part stick together and there's not a ton of mixed friendships that I have seen so far. But some of the things that I have heard come out of peoples mouths appal me. We are all human, all bleed the same blood, so why do we as white Americans think that we have the right to judge every other race like were better then them? What do you think?

Hi sturner, I agree that all this racism needs to stop, it is tired already. Which part of FL are you seeing this? I am planning to move to FL but I am still not certain which city is the best. I would like an area that is very diverse because I would like to avoid this exact thing. Had enough of NYC, it's just surviving here, it's harder and harder to make ends meet.

I am in Port Orange and haven't met barely any people that aren't racist. It's a beautiful area and the peopel are great until race comes p.

**Steph's mom stands and applauds** I couldn't agree more. Maybe it is because we are from up north that we don't understand this. When I lived in Florida I was in Tallahassee and didn't see as much of it but it was there. But I have met people online with very extreme racist views. It's not just white's though. People of other races have the same sorts of issues against whites and against other races. It's sad that this still exists. As you said we are all human and all bleed the same blood. Why do we judge so harshly because of skin color.
