The 1st actual meal I remember cooking was baked chicken. I made the chicken, served mashed potatoes (from a box) and I know we had a vegetable. I can't remember what it was. I was just glad the chicken wasn't raw. What was your 1st cooked meal

Hrm.. I can't remember the first meal I ever cooked which seems fairly strange to me. I guess my dad had me help with pancakes when I was young. I can't be sure.

The first meal that I ever remember cooking was a rather ill-fated pot of beef stew. LOL I really didn't know what I was doing, but I wanted to try anyway, since my mother had just gotten a new job that meant she wouldn't be home in time to cook dinner for us. I ended up burning the stew, and my mother was the only one who ate it. LOL

Well I suppose it would have to be something like heating soup or baked beans or scrambled eggs on toast. I never really cooked until I left home as my mother did all the cooking and I didn't feel that I would do it right!! One of the first things I made in cooking classes at secondary school was bread and butter pudding. I did make bread at jouior school.

The first meal I made was the only thing I made for years as a teenager...lol My friends and I called it "maters and rice" (silly girls) It was white rice, velveeta cheese, canned diced tomatoes, canned chicken...and I think that was it. We just mixed it all up and heated it up. We loved it and thought we were the greatest chefs ever because of our "invention". We even took pictures. LOL

I made my first full meal when I was 12. To tell you the truth I can't remember what I served, but the vegetable was carrots. I only remember that because I like my veggies a little on the firm side and everyone else on the family likes them cooked to mush so there were a lot of unfavourable commentss about the poor carrots.

I had three sisters and my mom used to let each of us cook a meal of our choice every other month. My choice was always beans and franks. That is the first meal I ever remember cooking. It was easy and everyone liked it so I felt proud of myself. She would just buy several large cans of beans and a package of hotdogs. I would cut up most of the hot dogs, put them in with the beans and cook it right on the stove. I thought it was fun. Also I would make a large thing of ice tea, cut up cucumbers and make toast out of hotdog buns opened up and baked in the oven.

I was ten and I made a meatloaf. It was the worst thing ever! I didn't mix in the ingredients well, and it was so gross! My dad still makes fun of that meatloaf to this day!
