Hi, welcome to mylot. Yes I cancel it because it is a matter of respect. If we don't respect the others how the others can respect us? cheers.

yes i will cancel my programme becoz in neighbour all of there family were crying hw can we enjoy our function or any programme in the society

maybe put it off for a later day after you have mourned over your neighbor. unless the program was for your late neighbor when that person was alive, then just cancel it. but then again, you neighbor would have wanted you to go on with your life and do whatever you were doing. so just put if off for a later date when you are ready to resume the program....

sure if it is just a sort of get together but if it is somesort of important and unavoidable situation the programme will have to be going but with the least of rituals tom be carried out. for ex. if their is a marriage date and the groom has arrived from some place and the programme is not in a stituation to be called off , it would be carried out with no band and lighting and other show offs.
