My mother-in-law has a habit of going shopping and buying something to take it all back... When she will go, she will not take the time to try on things before, before she buys it... I have went shopping with her many times, and this has gotten to the point of it getting annoying... When I do go with her, then she will end up trying on any thing that she buys. This is something that I will have her to do.. What should I do...

I would tell her that you willnot shop with her unless she trys on everything before she buys it. that should cut down on all the returns and annoyance too.

How about, I just never go with her when she decides to shop.. That way, I won't have to tell her directly!

Hi cream97! I think it is alright to just remind her to try on all the things she is going to buy so as to save time and money of returning them all back if they don't fit. It is best to advice her on this instead of having all the hassle to take them all back at a later date. Take Care and God Bless! Happy Mylotting!

I don't know...my friend does this too...brings back everything. I don't know how much she actually keeps. It doesn't bother me though. She's the one who has to take it back so I don't say anything. I have very seldom taken things back. I like to see what they look like on before I buy them! You would think it's a hassle for them to always be running around returning things.

But, I have to be the one that goes back with her when she has to take it back. This gets very annoying!

My husband is that way if he goes shopping he will not try things on he will go buy a pair of boots and bring them home and they will end up being to big or small and he will have to take them back. When I go with him I make him try them on right then and there as not every pair of shoes or every shirt will fit the same way.

My husband can't even take time in the grocery to read and make sure he picks up the right stuff so how is that for annoying. Do you know how many times I have had to send him back to the store or he has came home with something off the wall. He even bought the wrong boxers for himself not too long ago. I sometimes don't try things on but am horrible about not taking it back and just letting it sit in the closet. I don't know if it is because I am lazy or just don't really like shopping too much.
