Did you notice this in the movie Scream?

I watched Sceam today, with my boyfriend, since it was our day off and we just wanted to relax. Right before the principal gets killed, and someone keeps knocking on the door, he goes out and yells, and the only person there is the janitor. The janitor is dressed like Freddie Cruger (sp?) from Nightmare on Elm Street! I started laughing, and then realized that the principal then called him Freddie! lmao. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this.

Yep. You know that We Craven made that Freddie movie, right? Like most director, he puts little homages and personal touches in most of his films. You just have to look carefully. I recently sat through all three of the films and I was looking for things I hadn't seen before. I do that a lot with movies I really like. Kind of like I'm watching it from different points of views or something.

Very interesting detail but not surprising.I have watched a great number of films --so called blockbusters do exist such ridiculous things.I guess diretors are not perfect,that is to say,they are not able to think out the whole story in precise consistency.
If it is not the fault of director,so I think it may be the director wants to creat some humorous action to make us laugh.Of course, he has succeeded already.

Interesting! Nice trivia. 
It was pretty observant of you to notice that. I'm not really into the horror/suspense genre because I'm easily scared 
but I did watch that movie (with my friends in broad daylight 
) and I didn't notice that scene, in fact I don't remember it at all. I guess I have to watch that movie again and see if I can catch that scene.

I remembered that. It was hilarious. They intentionally did that to make people laugh. I even watched the succeeding Scream movies. It was good for the heart to be laughing a lot. Made me forget problems for quite some time.
