I started a couple of months ago selling on ebay and I thought that with the high gas prices more people would be shopping online, like me!! But have your sales slowed down like mine have. http://tinyurl.com/6984fe Please critique them for me.

Bad. I got no bidders. I was lucky to get bids on two items I listed last month. I sure hope I do better next month and after that.

My sales are very slow. I just dropped a bunch of stuff to $0.99 in hopes of clearing out the house some. I am selling on Etsy now. I will continue to have some stuff on Ebay but over the next month, I plan to make my store MUCH smaller on there.

With the start of the warmer weather I guess a lot of people are out and about rather than sitting indoors at their computers. I understand that sales have also slowed down since the new feedback rules came into effect.

It gets tougher to get big prices on your items the warmer it gets in the US. People do tend to be outside away from the computer and Ebay and it's auctions don't always fare as well. A very successful Ebayer told me, in the warmer months, start your listings at prices you are comfortable selling the item for. If you don't mind selling something worth $20 for .99 cents that's okay, but if that price will upset you, then list it for the lowest you'll be happy with and hope for more than one bid. I have a free tool I'm using when I list my items and it makes me money. It's fairly new and can only be used on Ebay auctions, but I made a little bit of money on something that didn't sell! It's FREE to join and use and Ebay allows it on their site! Send me a pm if you'd like more info!
