Not at all. I feel the same way. I want adventure too. I do have some good happening - like a toddler, but nothing so good it would keep me here on this world if given the chance - as long as my baby can go too!

I would love to populate mars with my future children if possible. Now my problem is i don't have the money or technology to go there living peacefully as in planet earth.

I would suggest learning a trade in space studies. My husband is going to Emory Riddle - a college connected with the Air Force (he contracts - isn't enlisted) and he's taking Space Studies. He'll likely be a technician for a life support or some such thing.
I want to take studies in psychology, specifically in dealing with things like isolation - which will be needed on long flights. And once colonists get to the other planets.

I'm older too, but wanting to start a new life career wise - and I have a toddler too. I would love to start over! With my baby of course.
