Which do you perfer ? I like the boney chicken personally cause its more greasy and doesn't get dry when you cook it. . but i like dark meat too so i get the thigh and leg combo, but hubby doesnt like it too much.. he likes the boneless.. he's got expensive tastes i guess ;) So which do you like and what's your favourite meal to prepare with it ?

I like dark meat chicken with the bones and skin!! I like to oven fry or bake it with barbeque sauce, or grill it. I don't like boneless skinless chicken, it tends to be dry.

No bones, no skin, grilled not fried and tossed with some lite Italian dressing, diced tomato, lettuce, and reduced fat cheese rolled up in a warm 12 grain tortilla. Yummy!

I prefer boneless and white meat chicken as precisely since it is less fatty...dark meat contains a lot more cholesterol than white meat, did you know that? So since I am watching my cholesterol intake I buy boneless and white meat

I used to the do the whole chicken thing - all bone things, the works. THinking it was cheaper as they aere only 89 cents a pound! Howver, As i grew up and learned "it always isn't as it seems", I realized that one, I am paying for bone that I don't use. I am paying for legs, thieghs and wings that no one eats. So 89 cents a pound was not a bargain at all. I investigated and find that we only eat the Bre_ast meat and there are so many ways that that part of the meat can be used, that for the last 10 years, I buy only boneless, skinless chicken Bre)st and just watch for it to be on sale for for $1.97 a pound and the stock up.

Good thinking coffee. I would do the same if i had a chest freezer. We only have the freezer in our fridge and it doesn't exactly work the best.. anything in there longer then a week gets freezer burned..

coffee i have tried everything, ziplock bags, wrapping, i admit i didn't try the rinsing thing as of yet, but nothing worked for me yet. . I think its because its a frost free freezer, and its getting old, so when it turns itsself off to defrost the stuff SLIGHTLY unthaws and ten freezes again, over and over. I get that TASTE of the freezer. I should mention to the land lord, but we are hoping to move sometime sooner rather then later ;)

I just have the freezer over the fridge. BUt if you wrap properly, you won't get freezer burn. What causes freezer burn, as I understand it, is moisture. I always rinse my meats, then with paper towel, damp dry them. THen TIGHTLY wrap in plastic wrap and then in foil and mark. Also, freeze meal size only. Not the whole large piece of london broil, cut it in half for 2 meals. Then thaw in the fridge, not on the open counter. THe drastic change of temps from frozen to warm as it sits on the counter causes moisture within the wrappings so that moisture gets to the frozen item and it sits in the moisture which causes tough meat. I just bought a lot of lunch meats - roast beef, honey baked ham etc and did this and thaw as I need it and it is perfect. I also do it with chicken brea)st meat. I cut some for nuggets for my GD's and larger pieces for baking.

I try to only eat boneless, skinless, white meat because of the health factor... But most of the flavor is in the skin! So give me a big thigh or drumstick with all sorts of bone and skin and delicious garlicky dry rub and I'm all over it. I never bread my chicken though, and I don't like spicy chicken wings...my mouth can't handle it!

I tend to like the whole chicken which includes some of everything. I basically like all the different parts including dark, white and the skin. When I have chicken I always have some type of potato with it. It could be french fries or mashed, but I always have something. cheers, :)

We only eat boneless skinless, but that is because when my son was 6, he choked on a very small piece of chicken bone. Since then, it is only boneless skinless for my family. We cook chicken many ways, barbecued, fried, stir fry, you name it....

Well i am glad that he is okay now! what a scary moment that must have been, i can imagine! I pick the chicken off the bones for the little one as of right now, thought i was being a bit paranoid, but as they say, better safe then sorry!
