Hoola hoop as a weight loss tool ha ha

In an effort to lose a little more weight and to trim my middle I would say waist line but that gives the impression that there is one. Unfortunately at the moment the middle part of my body is the same width as everywhere else. Hence the purchase of a hoola hoop and no its not the small round crisp snack this is the large round plastic hoop that you used to spend hours as a child swirling around your waist. I have now tried for many hours to get the said item to twirl around my waist or should I say middle without much success at all, as a weight loss tool all its any good for is a toe touching exercise, that being the number of times I have to bend down to touch my toes. I have asked my 9 year old daughter to show me just how to do it which she does time and time again - I find it infuriating that she can pick it up wiggle those little hips and away she goes for as long as she wants, all I keep doing is picking it up, it this an object purely for children or can us adults once again master this beast. Any tips gratefully received.

I think this sounds a fun way to lose weight. I have a board that I stand on and twist which is a bit like hoola hooping. I hope you are having fun as it sounds fun, and just think all the time you are bending down to pick the hoop up you are still doing exercising skills. Keep it up, and don't get sad when it doesn't go right, keep doing it and you wil get better and better and you will be catching your daughter up and even overtaking her! You can have your own races to see who can keep going the longest ! If you practise while she is at school you will soon catch her up and surprise her with your skills. Please keep us posted as to how you get on. A good activity to do with your daughter
