I don't really have nieghbors, but these people up around a couple corners and down the street from there are ALWAYS causing problems in the summer at my house. Now I am sure other people have had some awful neighbors, do you dare to share?

Omg talk about timing you must have realized I needed to vent. I have lived in the same neighborhood for 13 years a new neighbor just moved in next door. Heck I made sure to knock on the door and welcome her, she appeared to be nice "last week". Tonight my 7 year old came in crying it took me a while to calm him down, to ask him why he was so upset. He was playing in the yard (mine) and a dog started running towards him (yes there is a little link fence) but in shock he automatically covered his head and kicked his foot. She had the gaul to come out and threaten a 7 year old child with the police. Like they would take him away. I stormed out and yelled her name, she said I seen him try to kick the dog. He then explained what he did and she said yes that is exactly what I seen. Hmmm so my son wasnt fabricating. Oh did I tell you this is a Pit Bull. I explained that last summer a neighborhood dog got loose and came in my yard and mauled my son. and therefore he went into a protective mode. She then got loud and said screw this I am calling the cops. My son got so upset I told him not to worry he wasnt going anywhere. The police came I invited the officer into my home so we may tell him what had transpired. My son made the kicking motion not even touching her fence. We began to walk outside and she was yelling officer tell that brat to not to harrass my dog. The officer said listen lady you have a pit bull he was playing in his yard if you can not control the thing get rid of him. Then he said an alternative would to get a wooden fence so the dog nor the child could see eachother. You as a dog owner has to take responsibility. He can put his hand between that fence and if your dog bites him they can sue. She got all pissy and moaney and yelled what good are you fn cops. He said lady watch it. She said my dog has a right and he said Ma'am humman rights are taken in consideration first. Just protect yourself and leave this family alone. He turned to my son and said hey buddy try not to go to close to the fence you could get hurt. My son then replied sure thing I am so scared of dogs. He looked at me and apoligized for the woman ignorance and said if we had any more problems to call him back and he would deal with it. 13 years here and this is the only neighbor problem I have ever had. How ignorant was she To call the cops on a 7 year old?

Oh my word! Can she not even come and tell you about this before scaring a little boy! I would be hopping mad. Maybe you can put up the wooden fence to keep your little one safe. At least the cop was able to tell your son in a nice controled manner that he could get hurt around the fence and he was NOT hauled away because he is a good little boys. How is he doing now? I think some people move into a new place and they have come from a bad, bad area and they don't know how to be nice to the people around them. Takes all kinds to make the world go around.

She could have handled it a few ways. She could have talked to my son and explain her worry, or come to me. My son asked me mom why are people so mean.. I had to tell them the truth. some big people dont realize how mean they are and do not respect children as people, but I also reminded him that you always have to give respect to get respect. He is one of the most sensative kids I have ever met. He has all his manners and he uses them well. He would have said okay Mrs. so and so I will make sure to live with those rules. It is hard for me to control myself when people are that rude. I just dont understand what kind of kick you would get from scaring a child.

When I was married, we had a crazy housewife with 7 kids that was so nuts, she used to tell me that every night when I would go to work, she was sleeping with my husband. I was also a housewife and didn't work.

I don't really have any bad neighbor stories to tell. My only neighbor close enough to even maybe be a bother is no bother at all, in fact they are very nice, but are only down maybe once in a months time, and a little more often during hunting season.

I live in a building where noise is a problem. It's about the cheapest housing in this area which means it attracts people that are young or who don't have much money. Well young is great but they tend to breed. Having a kid that yells all day and all night must be a nightmare to them. The sad thing is that it's also a nightmare for me because I have to listen to it. What's really bad is that they tend to move away and the next batch comes in. And it starts all over again.
