Reverend John Hagee, whose endorsement you may recall, was sought and is now much appreciated by John McCain, believes that the Holocaust was intended by God to get Jews to Palestine. You can hear the recording of Hagee's sermon here: http://www.jewishjournal.com/thegodblog/2008/05/hagee-hitler-gods-chosen-to-get-jews-to.html In his 2006 book, Jerusalem Countdown, Hagee also proposed that anti-Semitism and the Holocaust was the Jews' own fault. In past discussions about this pastor it was said he called the Catholic Church the "great w*ore" because of their anti-Semitic beliefs but I'd say this proves that theory is full of holes. Who here thinks it's time for McCain to toss Hagee under the bus or out of the "Straight Talk Express Bus", whichever way you'd like to put it? Annie

Well I will admit that I watch John Hagee sometimes. But if he is saying things like this, there is no way that I can agree with that. Whether it is true or not, is not the issue. The issue is that I don't see how he would know why God allowed this to happen. When people start saying that they know why God did such and such, it makes me sick. Why would God share his reason for doing anything with us. He does not need John Hagee's or anyone else's approval. That kind of talk just doesn't sit right with me.

This just doesn't seem real. He should toss him under the bus and then roll over him a few times so he suffers a bit. What the he11 is McCain thinking? Obviously it isn't about winning this election.

He isn't alone. There are many who think that Jewish people bring hatred upon themselves. Happily there is an Israel and they have a place to go. It is the one good thing that came out of WWII.People are free to be as stupid as they want to be. And candidates can court endorsements where they come It is up to the voter to show what they like or don't like about their choice.
