Ok I've had a rough evening and can't seem to stop shaking from shock and being upset. I need to turn it around so I'm seeking something nice. Tell me something good that happened to you today or this week. Or something nice someone did for you. Funny stories to make me laugh are welcome too. :) thanks for your help

I'm sorry to hear about your rough evening. I've been there, as I'm sure most of us have. Something good, let's see. My son told me he got a raise! Not such a big deal, but he works at WalMart and they are rare and hard to come by. He was very excited, and I was very happy for him. Something funny... hmmm... Okay. How can you tell if an elephant has been in your refrigerator? You can see his footprints in the butter. How does an elephant hide in a cherry tree? He paints his toenails red. Okay, okay, they're corny, not funny. But I bet it made you smile, even just a little?

Hey in this economy a raise is a VERY big deal. Good for him. Thanks for the corny little jokes. They did make me smile. :)

Something nice huh? Oh, I know. Today I got my very first ever child support payment from my daughters father. Whoo-hoo!! She is 16 months old on Friday, so it has been a long time coming. He called me the other day and told me to be expecting it. This is the first of many payments hopefully. It is only $71.25, but every little bit is nice. Ok, so that was not a really exciting something nice, but it is the best I can come up with this week. It has been a slow week of nice things. Oh, wait I just thought of another one. I had a customer place his THIRD order in 3 months for my toffee. Yea!! I love repeat business.

Police in Oakland, California spent two hours attempting to subdue a gunman who had barricaded himself inside his home. After firing ten tear gas canisters, officers discovered that the man was standing beside them, shouting please to come out and give himself up. Howard County Police officers still write their reports by hand, and the data is entered later by a computer tech into their database. One theft report stated that a farmer had lost 2,025 pigs. Thinking that to be an error, the tech called the farmer directly. "Is it true Mr. (Smith) that you lost 2,025 pigs?" she asked. A man is driving down a country road, when he spots a farmer standing in the middle of a huge field of grass. He pulls the car over to the side of the road and notices that the farmer is just standing there, doing nothing, looking at nothing. The man gets out of the car, walks all the way out to the farmer and asks him, "Ah excuse me mister, but what are you doing?" The farmer replies, "I'm trying to win a Nobel Prize." "How?" asks the man, puzzled. "Well, I heard they give the Nobel Prize . . . to people who are out standing in their field." "Yeth." lisped the farmer. Being a Howard County girl herself, the tech entered: "Subject lost 2 sows and 25 pigs."
